Overview
The Purba Bardhaman District Health & Family Welfare Samiti is engaging 22 Multi Rehabilitation Workers on contract under the National Programme for Health Care of the Elderly (NPHCE), for Rural Hospitals and Block Primary Health Centres (BPHCs) in the district.
Candidates need a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy and at least two years' work experience in a hospital; a Master's in Physiotherapy earns extra marks. Age must be 21 to 40 years as on 01.01.2026. Pay is a consolidated Rs 18,000 a month. The initial engagement runs to March 2027 and may be renewed on satisfactory performance.
The earlier recruitment notice for this post (No. 1036 of 9 December 2025) has been cancelled and applications are being invited afresh. The last date to apply online is 13 November 2026 (hr.wbhealth.gov.in). Eligibility
- Essential: Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy with at least 2 years' work experience in a hospital
- Desirable: Master's degree in Physiotherapy
- Permanent resident of West Bengal; able to read, write and speak Bengali
Experience certificates must show the post, employer's name, employee's name, and dates of joining and leaving; an appointment letter alone is not accepted. For private-sector experience, salary statements or other documents may be requested.
Selection process
Selection on academic qualification, experience and interview (total 50):
- Class X: 10 (proportionate, excluding additional subjects)
- Class XII: 10
- Bachelor's in Physiotherapy: 10
- Master's in Physiotherapy: 5 (additional)
- Experience: 10 — government/private: 5+ years 10/5; 4–5 years 8/4; 3–4 years 6/3; 2–3 years 4/2
- Interview: 5
Marks to two decimals, no rounding off. Candidates must attend every stage; skipping any stage means disqualification.
