Overview
The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta is building a panel of doctors who can be called in by its Medical Unit as needed, mainly when the unit's regular doctors are on leave or unavailable. Duties are assigned subject to the doctor's availability and willingness.
Candidates need an MBBS from a recognised medical college, a completed one-year compulsory internship and valid registration with the National Medical Commission or a State Medical Council; 3 years' experience is preferred. The honorarium is up to Rs 800 an hour, for a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 hours per call.

- Consultations and primary medical care for members of the IIM Calcutta community
- Examining patients, recommending treatment and prescribing medicines
- Initial care in medical emergencies, with referral or transfer where needed
- Keeping accurate and confidential patient records; advising on follow-up and preventive care
- Coordinating with Medical Unit staff
Eligibility
- MBBS from a recognised medical college
- Completed the one-year compulsory internship
- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or a State Medical Council
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience preferred
