What we do not collect
Readers do not need an account. We do not collect Aadhaar numbers, bank details, passwords or any application data. Applications are always made on official government portals.
Eligibility Finder
Details you enter in the Eligibility Finder (such as date of birth, qualification, income) are used only to calculate results for that request. They are not added to the page address and are not stored in our database.
Contact form
Messages sent through the contact or correction form — and your name and email, if you choose to give them — are stored in our database so that we can verify the issue and reply. Only the editorial team can see them. We aim to delete them within 180 days of resolution. To request deletion, use the contact form again.
Cookies and logs
We use no tracking cookies for readers. A single essential cookie is used only for editor sign-in. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and page address) for a short time for security and troubleshooting. IP addresses are used temporarily in memory to prevent abuse and are not stored in our database.
