Overview
BRIC-National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG) will engage one Research Associate-I on contract for a DBT-funded research project on the link between the p53 p300S mutation and colon cancer, using Indian patient samples, cellular and animal model systems. The project runs until 04.06.2028; the appointment is initially for one year and can be extended depending on performance and project needs.
Candidates need a Ph.D/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent, or 3 years of research, teaching or design and development experience after an MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with at least one paper in an SCI journal. Pay is Rs 58,000 a month plus 27% HRA. The upper age limit is 40 years for men and 45 for women.

Nature of work:
- Cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology and imaging experiments in human cells and animal models
- Animal experiments, and work in collaborators' labs outside NIBMG from time to time
Eligibility
- Ph.D/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent; or 3 years of research, teaching or design and development experience after an MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech, with at least one research paper in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal
- Desirable: at least one first-author publication involving work on human cells, animal models, biochemistry, molecular biology and imaging
