Government of India (Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare) with State Horticulture Departments
Overview
A central mission for the holistic growth of horticulture — fruits, vegetables, flowers, spices and plantation crops — through area expansion, higher productivity and post-harvest management, with the aim of raising farmers' incomes.
Support covers new orchards, nurseries and plantations; protected cultivation in greenhouses, shade nets and polyhouses; subsidies for micro-irrigation; post-harvest infrastructure such as cold storage, pack houses and ripening chambers; organic farming; mechanisation; and training and exposure visits.
All farmers — small, marginal, medium and large — as well as FPOs, SHGs and cooperatives can apply; land ownership or lease rights are required. Apply through the State Horticulture Department.
